Very prompt service and delicious food. The picture doesn't include the lemon soup and Kurdish bread with feta. I would highly recommend both. Both the beef and chicken kabobs were moist and flavorful. The rice and beef dumplings were crispy on the outside and tender inside. Eggplant with beef and tomato sauce was very good too.
I went with a group of friends and family to Babani’s and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting and the food is awesome. I had never been to a Kurdish restaurant before and I was not disappointed. The food is athentic and very tasty.
This place is probably one of our favorite spots in the twin cities. It’s like a homemade meal, made to order. So good! And so affordable!
Everything was delicious! I ordered the beef kabab (which came with biryani), traditional silopi salad, and hummus to go. It was pretty quick to whip up and was going in no time. When you walk in there’s an ordering area, and there’s also an area for dine in. My favorite was the biryani - it was very nicely spiced (not hot - just full of flavor).
I discovered this place today and I can’t wait to return! It looked very unassuming but the food was delicious! Loved their Beef kabobs that came with Lentil soup. What a treat! Please don’t close this place.
I was wondering to the caves nearby and saw this restaurant, and thought “why couldn’t there be excellent middle eastern food in St Paul?” - so I went in for lunch. I highly recommend you check it out before the owner sells the place and it disappears! The food was fresh and delicious, and lunch service was smooth and quick. Moderately expensive for lunch
The food was fresh and lively. Garlic and citrus fills the air. A truly authentic experience. A tad overpriced (16$ for 1pc.of chicken/3 potato sections). And the potatoes were almost the best part. Softly simmered in chicken stock, lemon, garlic and possibly thyme. Dinner #6. ❤️
Holy cannoli Batman! I was not expecting to have the best Middle Eastern food in the whole Mississippi River watershed. Hummus good. Tea tastes like home. The beef kabob plate with the biryani rice. Best beef kabob. Omg. Juicy!! Tender! Melts like a Byzantine legion facing the Arab army at Yarmouk. My friend had the sheikh babani. The eggplant was tender and moist.
